This webinar will describe Falls Prevention Awareness Day and its impact during the past five years. The learning objectives include:
1) Describe the Falls Free National Falls Prevention Action Plan and progress to date;
2) Describe the work of the Falls Free Coalition, a group or organizations and state coalitions working together to reduce the number of falls and fall related injuries among older adults;
3) Identify the activities and events planned across the country for the 2020 Falls Prevention Awareness Week; and
4) Evaluate the role of physical therapists in the team approach to falls prevention, including highlighting partnerships with community organizations to screen for falls risk and identify evidence-based programs and practices that reduce falls and fall related injuries.
You will receive an email confirming 1.5 contact hours only. We do not offer CEUS from any specific state. However, can contact your state and submit a request for CEU approval. This is assuming your state awarded CEUs for the small number of contact hour provided by this webinar.
