As a PT, are you tired of working for somebody and feel like you can best serve the geriatric population on your own terms? This course is designed and focused to provide insight into private practice as an alternative for entrepreneurship in geriatric physical therapy. It will address some of the challenges and many opportunities that exist for private practice clinicians focused on the needs of aging adult populations. It will also provide guidance to individuals who are exploring private PT practice whether part-time or full-time.
The goal of the session will provide learners with techniques to navigate third-party payer relationships to leverage our PT skill sets in various orthopedic, neurologic, and medically complex older clientele. This course is geared for novice level geriatric physical therapy practitioners to experts who want to explore options for creating and innovating in different business models involving older adults. Other topics to be discussed during this webinar are emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in PT private practice.
About The Speaker(s)
Anthony Maritato, PT has been a licensed physical therapist since 2006 and a private practice owner since 2002. He starting a private practice before he became a licensed physical therapist, which brought with it a unique perspective that now helps in the coaching and mentoring of new practice owners. Along side his wife and business partner, Kathy Maritato, PT, they have three Florida-based locations and two in Ohio. Fortunate enough to have experienced growing a private practice, selling clinic locations, spinning off two separate billing companies, Anthony has learned many lessons along the way. Currently treating patients part-time, Anthony also teaches and coaches other clinicians in topics such as business development, financial independence, and time freedom.
