Changes in mobility that come with aging may reduce older adults’ independence. Many people make financial plans for retirement, but don’t consider how to plan for potential changes in mobility. In 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) launched the MyMobility Plan initiative to assist individuals in planning for a safe, mobile and independent tomorrow. CDC developed the mobility planning tool, using available scientific evidence, to help older adults plan for future mobility changes that might increase their risk for motor vehicle crashes and falls.
This webinar will assist physical therapists with mobility planning for patients/clients, family members, or friends in their homes and communities.
